Thursday, January 17, 5 p.m.
Opening reception with display of Wayne County students's artwork with theme of "Sunday with Family and Friends"; storytelling by Grandaddy Junebug. Performance begins at 6 p.m.

Appearance by Blood Done Sign My Name author Tim Tyson, followed by reception and booking signing

Monday, February 4, 7 p.m.
Program "Sincere Forms of Flattery: Blacks, Whites, & American Popular Music", featuring Billy Stevens & John Dee Holeman, historians/musicians - LIVE MUSICAL PERFORMANCES.

"A Portrait of a People: A Survey of African American Poetry" will feature local residents performing poetry. C. Rose Howard compiled the material for the show, which will be produced by Margaret Boothe Baddour.

Trudier Harris, author of Autumn Snow: Reflections of a Black Daughter of the South, will talk about the role of black women in the book Blood Done Sign My Name, in the Civil Rights era, and now. Sponsored by the UNC Alumni Association and the Wayne County Carolina Club.

Friday, Feb. 22, 7 p.m.
Gene Roberts, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author of The Race Beat: The Press, the Civil Rights Struggle and the Awakening of a Nation, will speak, followed by a reception and book signing.

Film “A Time for Justice”. Discussion led by Shorlete Ammons-Stephens and refreshments after the movie.
